Manfrotto Monopod mm290 °C4 and Manfrotto 234 Monopod Tilt Head

Just taken delivery of the Manfrotto carbon fibre monopod and tilt head for my Fuji Gear. The monopod is really light and well made. The magnesium leg locks are solid and with the tilt head attached is exactly the right height so i hopefully don’t get backache There’s a rubber foot on the other end so has got decent grip. The camera attaches easily to the head with the thumb screw and only takes a couple of seconds.I decided against the quick release version as i’d only be messing about putting the plates on different camera’s and lenses. I can also spin it straight onto the monopod without the head.234 tilt

I just wish the head was a bit lighter, it probably weighs the same as the monopod but its still lighter than lugging a tripod about. When the 100-400 is attached via the lens collar it feels well balanced with the battery grip on the camera. A Good buy at under £100 with the head.
